Fairbooth
Since 1946 the First Christian Church has run a full scale restaurant at the annual Kit Carson County Fair, providing food to the community and an opportunity for service and fellowship for our church family.
Hunters Supper
A long time tradition of the church, each November we host a turkey meal on the opening weekend of pheasant season to extend hospitality community members and hunters visiting the area.
Lent
For over a decade First Christian Church has joined with the Burlington United Methodist Church and the First St Paul’s Lutheran Church for Wednesday evening worship during the season of Lent, as well as combined Holy Week services, including a Maundy Thursday Service, A Good Friday Service, and an Easter Sunrise Service.
5th Sunday Combined Worship
Our movement values ecumenism. In that spirit, On 5th Sundays we join with the Burlington United Methodist Church and the First St Paul’s Lutheran Church for worship and singing.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
acation Bible School (VBS) is a focused program that aims to teach children biblical truths and foster spiritual growth through interactive lessons, crafts, music, games, and worship activities. The program provides an immersive environment where children learn about major Bible themes, the life and teachings of Jesus, and foundational Christian beliefs. VBS is designed to complement regular Sunday School or church services, offering a structured, week-long experience that emphasizes both learning and fun.
